See Franklin Field Recreation Complex. It has 3 pavilions (see Franklin Field Complex - West Side) available for rent and 3 softball fields. There are two play areas for young people. There is plenty of grass and many trees providing shade. There is also Disc Golf, as described in Franklin Field | Professional Disc Golf Association.
